Scott
Thomas Palmer |
In his honor, friends and family members have established the Scott Thomas Palmer Memorial Scholarship Fund®. The Fund awards an annual scholarship to Annapolis High School students. The Fund offers an innovative way for people to remember Scott whom God called home on September 1, 1996, when he was hit by a truck and killed while attending a family reunion in Waterfall, Pennsylvania. Scott is the son of Sidney and Frances Palmer and the older brother of Robert Palmer. Scott was an Honor Roll student at Annapolis Middle School in Annapolis, Maryland. Scott played basketball, soccer and baseball with PAL and other Annapolis teams. He loved people and had lots of friends. Scott had a smile that was so radiant that looking at him cheered you up. He was always happy and could see the good in everyone and everything. Scott touched many lives and would have touched many more. This Memorial Fund will allow Scott to reach the friends he had yet to meet. We hope to turn our tragedy into help for others. To ensure that the memory and spirit that Scott represented is kept fresh in our minds, the Scholarship Fund in choosing a recipient, looks for some of the characteristics that made Scott unique. Scott would really appreciate that his legacy could help other kids. | We
